Steven Carow
President since 2002, corporate officer since 1993
Leading the future of Carow Packaging, Steve offers a comprehensive knowledge of packaging solutions from all aspects: sales, operations, information technology, special applications and product development. Keeping well informed about the industry, Steve personally visits clients, production facilities and identifies new trends through trade related events. A natural problem solver, he applies a well informed, analytical approach when consulting with customers to reveal the best outcomes for their applications. Steve is a graduate from the University of Michigan and is continuously developing professionally through his own research and experiences.
Marching to the beat of his own drums, Steve has been a drummer for 30 years with a special interest in Brazilian percussion. Also, an avid traveler, he has enjoyed the diversity of many cultures, cuisines and music throughout the world. Another unique characteristic of Steve’s is his ongoing studies of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu martial arts in Chicago.

Sheryl Stier
Sales Representative Eastern and Western Regions since 2005
Bringing 14 years successful sales experience, Sheryl is a go-to professional that knows the products and takes the initiative to keep her accounts educated, with a smile. Taking the time to truly understand all of the Carow products and their functions help her solve real packaging problems with informative answers. Ready for a challenge, Sheryl has the tools to understand, analyze and optimize your product in today’s marketplace.
Summer is Sheryl’s favorite time of year, as she is a passionate antique car hobbyist, enjoys being outdoors gardening and visiting open air markets looking for vintage taxi cabs or Chicago’s Worlds Fair memorabilia.

Dean Gavney
Sales Representative for the Midwest Region, since 2006
“Passion for what you do comes through every time” is Dean’s personal motto. Always ready to introduce a new product or idea to his accounts, Dean’s enthusiasm for packaging solutions shines through. Well versed in all of the Carow products, he can always find several options for a customer to choose from and follows through on all special requests. A graduate from Eastern Illinois University with a political science degree, Dean has a systemized approach to getting the job done.
In his off time, Dean is sure to be doing one of two things…either listening to music or jamming on his acoustic guitar. For over 25 years he has been a musician, performing in bands and as a soloist. Also fond of the great outdoors, Dean enjoys boating, camping and outdoor recreation with friends.

Barb Mendoza
Shipping Coordinator since 1997
Responsible for inbound and outbound shipment, plus coordinating materials orders for manufacturing, Barb is always at the center of Carow’s production. She has progressively expanded her knowledge of warehousing, inventory control and international shipping, from special training to hands on experience. Another value Barb adds to our team is her communication skills in Spanish and German. She is regarded for her strong commitment to Carow’s unmatched customer service and always projecting a positive attitude every day.
In her free-time, Barb is passionate about music, is an avid scrapbooking enthusiast and participates in on-line card games. Barb also enjoys cooking and spending time with her family.

Jane Arnold
Customer Service Assistant since 2003
Jane is responsible for many supportive tasks for all areas of Carow Packaging. The “sample” go-to lady, she coordinates all literature and samples that need to be sent to our customers. Whether it is preparing parcels for shipping, filing, organizing or helping out the sales staff, Jane is always smiling and offering a positive point of view. Like she says “ take it one day at a time and keep on smiling”!
Jane has a diverse educational background, but puts most of her energy now in learning line dancing, planning RV vacations or new BUNCO strategies. Her family is the center of her happiness and armed with a photo album at all times. Along with her husband, she has shared in the joy of becoming a proud grandparent and teaching them how to be avid Chicago Cubs fans.

Celeste Robson
Bookkeeper since 2002
Celeste is the financial go to person for all of Carow’s accounting functions. Her daily responsibilities include all A/P and A/R processing, including collections and credit transactions. Very detail oriented, Celeste is unwavering in organization and ability to reconcile troublesome issues. Her role may be behind the scenes, but there is no greater responsibility than accepting and dispersing funds for a company. Her pleasant demeanor and confidence is yet another strong link in the Carow chain.
Celeste has a green thumb and spends off time gardening when possible. She is very involved in her children’s sports programs and can be found on the sidelines or in the bleachers cheering them on.

Michele Hellyer
Marketing Assistant since 2007
Michele coordinates marketing materials, industry publications and corporate communications for Carow Packaging. Her professional background in manufacturing, quality assurance and sales support helps blend the interests of each Carow department and maintains a common corporate message. A graduate from Columbia College, Michele’s educational foundation in Marketing and Psychology enhances her creativity in daily activities. A natural communicator and problem solver, she approaches each challenge with energy and ambition.
A frequent visitor to Maui, Michele has developed an appreciation for the traditions of Polynesian culture, art and a home-away-from-home connection to the islands. Michele is also a wife and mother to three young children. Her family is very active in school events and holiday celebrations.

Alejandra Acosta Liendo
Administrative Assistant since 2007
The newest member of the Carow team, Ale has hit the ground running working on a variety of projects from new product introductions to payroll administration. Offering a positive approach to all of her responsibilities, she has quickly become a treasured asset. A graduate of Zulia University in Maracaibo, Venezuela in 2000, then moved to the United States in 2002, bringing a wonderful addition of multi-cultural influence to our team.
Ale dedicates a good portion of her free time to traveling throughout the United States, and also in Europe, Asia, South America and has been fortunate to even experience Machu Pichu. Appreciating the arts, she enjoys dancing and listens to many types of music. Revealing a creative side, Ale also has a knack for sewing, decorating and entertaining.

Kim Hernandez
Purchasing/Sales Coordinator since March 2011
Part of the Carow "offensive team" Kim rounds out the exceptional support staff with over 15 years of customer service experience. Taking on a wide range of responsibilities, Kim offers patient and accountable service to our customers, suppliers and vendors. Working with each area within the Carow production cycle, she is has become very knowledgeable and flexible to step up to new assignments. Kim is our weekend warrior, enjoying the great outdoors with her family camping, riding ATV's and cheerleading her daughters at various sporting events. Imported from California, she is now a loyal fan of the Chicago White Sox and Bears.

Megan Johnson
Sales Facilitator since June 2011
Keeping the sales department in tip-top shape, Megan holds the newest role as Sales Facilitator. Managing sales samples, quotes and price lists for both sales representatives helps keep their focus on the customer and improving customer service. Megan brings with her a well-rounded background that includes warehouse management, customer service and sales administration. These three key components are very valuable in understanding our distribution network. Megan takes pride in her active, close-knit family being a proud mom of a gymnast daughter and her son who plays hockey. During those few moments to herself she relaxes with music or her favorite movie.
